"Dear friends, I hope you remember the current theme of our classes. (Can you name it?) Right, it is "HUMAN 1/RIGHTS DEFENCE".What did we talk about at the previous lesson?,(.Human rights and obligations) .What are our obligations? ( .to respect human rights) What should we do if the rights are violated? (to defend human rights.) How can the rights be violated? By calling names? or by by physical violance? Do you agree? Right.I can tell you all kinds of violence are called BULLYING.

4/We are going to take only one kind of bullying - the verbal bullying when a kid is given some not complimentary words about an appearance, mind, behaviour.

INTRODUCTION TO THE WORK WITH CLIP № 2. Brian | Weird Compliment (0.57)
Todd was not the only guy who was teased with words. In the 2 film we'l see Brian, an American schoolboy who took an unpleasant word "weird" - "чудик" as a compliment. Do you like his idea? Right, there are some people who criticize him.

We haveconsidered 3 stands in the problem of choosing the best way of selfdefence against bullying: to take an insult like a compliment, not to take it as a compliment, to disarm them with the words of sympathy. Let's watch the film about the feelings of another teenager who wrote his poem to describe his experience as a victim of bullying. After reading this poem in public, he received a standing ovation from his class, and the bullying stopped.

4-1в-3/ Task for a bystander. 1/: Speak on the following SITUATION (verbal abuse). Say 5 sentences, at least: you are walking along a school corridor and see the following situation: a few girls from the 5-th grade surrounded their classmate and call her names: " you look like a weird", "you are an alien". The girl is ashamed but says nothing. What is your reaction? (Approach the bully later, help a target get away, imagine how others feel, interrupt bullying, set a good example or something else).
4-1в-4/ Task for a bystander. 1/: Speak on the following SITUATION (physical abuse). Say 5 sentences, at least: you are in the school yard and see the following situation: a few boys from the 5-th grade surrounded their classmate lying on the ground and kick him continuously. The boy is lying with his hand covering the head and doing nothing. What is your reaction? (Approach the bullies, help the target get away, unite against bullying, interrupt bullying, inform the school administration, film the bullying and insert it to the
media, give him a piece of advice for future or something else).
4-1в-5/ Task for 2 film-viewers. The 1-st one plays the part of the "INSULTER" ( MIND THE WORDS: you are not smart enough, many weaknesses, big eyes , your ugliness, your silliness). The 2-nd one plays the part of the "TARGET/VICTIM" (MIND THE WORDS: help me to improve, my strengths, kind personality, brings laughter to the world, my feelings and widen my view.)
